Communication Specialists Hand Delivers Personal Secure Mototrbo Digital Equipment to the MOD of Ghana.

The government of Ghana (MOD) are the department responsible for defending the Republic of Ghana from internal and external military threats and they exist to proactively improve national security through the effective formulation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of defence policies and programmes and thereby contribute to national development. Ghana’s peacekeepers who are the men and women of the Ghana Armed Forces are normal husbands, wives, mothers and fathers who have done extraordinary things.

During the past four decades these men and women have taken up positions on the thin blue line between war and peace, they have acquitted themselves with extradinary valour, professionalism, strength and human compassion. More than 80,000 of them have rated in 31 United Nations and subregional peacekeeping missions – from the Congo, Rwanda, Namibia, Mozambique, Liberia and Sierra Leone, to the Middle East the Balkans, and Cambodia. More than 100 Sodiers have sacrificed their lives.

Working towards goals of world peace with the United Nations since the early 1960’s; where Ghana first participated in the UN operation in the Congo to the latest missions in Lebanon, Sierra Leone and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Ghana’s peacekeepers have stood ever ready to risk life and limb in many of the world’s most dangerous conflict zones.

The MOD of Ghana has set itself a task to achieve many objections:

  • To review and implement the organizational structure/manual for the Ministry
  • To improve co-ordination/internal information flow
  • To ensure availability of appropriate human resource to enhance service delivery
  • To equip staff with relevant skills to enhance performance
  • To motivate staff for higher out-put
  • To improve information management in the MOD
  • To enhance the existing monitoring and evaluation system
  • To develop and operationalise proposals for relocation of the Ministry
  • To improve the image of the MOD

Communication Specialists, experts in HF, VHF & UHF wireless communications systems, won a contract with the MOD of Ghana to supply a new radio system, which offers the MOD secure communciations of extraordinarily high importance. Due to an extremely tight deadline the mananging director, Kervin Labrosse decided to hand deliver the equipment to ensure it reached it’s destination without fail, thus ensuring a happy client and continued dedication to the business of secure communications and peace keeping around the world.

Communication Specialists have completed work before for Ghana Armed Forces for their peace keeping operations in Africa where they supplied Motorola and Codan radio communications through their partner on the ground. CSL have also supplied extensive training to the Ghana MOD on how to use these invaluable pieces of communication equipment.

Mototrbo Digital equipment are connecting more people effortlessly and efficiently wherever they work. Information is instantaneous. Decision making becomes easier. Safety gets reinforced. Productivity increases. Service improves and customers are more satisfied. CSL Ltd had had their work cut out on this project, logistics and export forms to complete and a flight from the UK to Ghana to deliver the equipment on time, not to mention the required dedication from our team of engineers to make sure this project completed with success.
